Integrated Management Services
When pests invade your home, they’re more than a simple annoyance. Rats, termites, and other pests damage your residence, spread diseases, and produce allergic reactions. Integrated pest management incorporates pest extermination strategies that resolve pest issues and focus on keeping you safe. Our treatment protocols prioritize low-hazard pesticides and infestation prevention.
Inspection
Our pest control operator discusses your infestation concerns and conducts a thorough home inspection. We identify the extent of your problems, determine the cause, and recommend treatment solutions.
We look for affected areas. We then search for the conducive conditions and structural deficiencies that leave your home open to pest invasions. We review our findings with you and recommend a treatment plan.
Treatment
In treating your home, we comply with Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Department supervisory certifications. Our operators use non-hazardous pesticides with minimal risks to humans, pets, or the environment. We address conditions that contribute to pests gaining access to your home’s interior. We discuss monitoring and prevention strategies to help you prevent future infestations.
Prescription Service
Pests become more active due to rain, temperature shifts, and environmental weather changes. Our prescription service gives you a planned strategy to help you deal with seasonal infestations. We set up a treatment plan that’s convenient to you and your schedule.
- Recurrent applications
- Effective low-level pesticides
- Minimal health and environmental risk
How Pests Enter Your Home
Conducive conditions and structural deficiencies encourage pests to create problems in and around your home. When left unresolved, these conditions make it easy for pests to feed and breed.
- Holes or openings: Undiscovered openings allow pests to enter your home undetected. These may include holes, cracks, crevices, windows, pipe openings, and deteriorating wood.
- Storage practices: Storage containers in your home can provide a safe space for pests to breed, live, and grow.
- Unclean trash and recycling bins: Flies and other insects thrive in residue left behind in bins and receptacles. Frequent cleaning eliminates the attraction.
- Kitchens and plants: Fruit flies lay up to 400 eggs per week. Garbage disposals, plant soil, and recycling bins provide ideal breeding conditions. They also contaminate ripe fruits, vegetables, and liquids in your kitchen.
- Landscaping: Decorative mulch and organic materials retain the water pests need to live. Moisture encourages bugs, rodents, and other pests to burrow outside and into your home.
- Nut and seed plants: Oak trees, maple trees, shrubbery, and plants provide food for invasive pests.
Pests Want To Live In Your Home
Rodents, roaches, ants, and other pests don’t simply annoy you. They change the way you live, forcing you to remain vigilant 24/7. They can contaminate your food and cause destruction throughout your home. They leave behind bacteria, allergens and other contaminants that put your family’s health at risk.
Cockroaches
Cockroaches spread salmonella, listeria, and other diseases. They also trigger allergies in some people. They enter your home through cracks, crevices and other openings you might not have noticed. Female cockroaches can produce eggs every 35 days, and have six to eight annual life cycles. This productivity allows them to generate an infestation every three to six months.
Termites
By the time you realize termites have invaded your home, the problem will likely have grown out of control. They enter your home unnoticed, silently eating through wooden porches, decks, mulch, and other organic materials. Termites cause progressive damage to wooden structures in your home. When they find the wood cellulose and moisture they need, they never leave.
Rodents
Connecticut’s increasingly warm weather helps produce more of the foods pests need to thrive. Rodent populations are surging and they’re skillful at finding ways to enter your home. Once inside, they contaminate food with droppings and urine, and they spread listeria, hantavirus, and other contagions. They chew through electrical wires and insulation, and cause structural damage.
Fruit Flies
You might think of fruit flies as inconvenient and annoying, but they go beyond pesky once they settle into your home. They contaminate food and liquids, and they can cause a bacteria buildup in kitchen drains, garbage receptacles, and standing water.
Ants
An ant’s strong sense of smell draws them to food sources in your home. Once inside, they can contaminate human and pet food, and sometimes leave bacteria behind. They also cause damage to deteriorating wood.
